Mighty Dogs Business Meeting 11/05/09
• Jessica called meeting to order at 6:34.
• Pledges
• No treasure and no secretary report
• No old business
• Discussed SCKC show talking about selling dog treats. People will work 2 hour shifts in groups of 4 for every shift.
• There is no concession stand for this weekend’s SCKC show.
• The SCKC show starts at 8:00 and the last class should be around 3:00 and is on both Saturday and Sunday.
• There is no entry fee so anyone who wants to see the show is welcomed to come.
• Parade of Lights:
o Parade of lights theme is “20 Twinkling Years”.
o Parade is the 28th.
o Parade of lights committee meeting on Monday the 16th of November at 6:00 PM at Jessica’s mom’s office, Southern Colorado Nephrology.
o Aiming to decorate the float on the 25th and the 27th.
o Will set official date at the committee meeting.
• Next training meeting is November 19th. First years need to come at 6:30. Training buddies should come at 6:30 as well.
• Next business meeting is January 7th at 6:30 in the National Resource building.
• Discussed doing some club thing such as Electric Critters at the zoo or bowling since we had no Halloween/Christmas party.
o Nicole moved for the Christmas activity.
o Sarah seconded that motion.
o Discussion followed over this idea.
o Motion to go eat pizza at Tony and Joe’s at 5:00 and then go to the Zoo at five after was tabled by Jessica until the training meeting on the 19th.
o After it is decided it will be posted on the website as to what is going to occur with the Christmas activity.
o If the club can sponsor the kids it will be placed on the website by Alisha.
• Jessica then explained how to make a motion to the new members.
• Business meeting was adjured at 7:08 by Jessica.
